ESA and PIP living in an EU country was created by Islands
Hello, can I claim ESA (I'm in the Support Group) and PIP if I move to Portugal (before the end of this year obviously)?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Luke
This is not our area of expertise. You can put your information into the government website which will hopefully tell you all you need to know.

Hi, there is great deal of info on the govt website and NHS overseas is helpful too.
However there is little help and advice on the nitty gritty and please ensure whatever you are told via the DWP you get it in writing and do not take heed just by phone calls etc.
I did email a letter to this site for someone to get some info and a separate site for those wishing to move abroad in the EU or re already there as there are lots of pitfalls' once in the EU and Portugal.
There are costs you have to pay along with bloods, all tests, medication even with the S1 forms they give you once you say you wish to move to an EU country.
