pip extension and blue badge and bus pass

My current PIP award expires on 12/7/2020. My form was returned at the end of February. My community nurse spoke to the DWP and requested an extension (which is reflected in the return date). She also requested a paper-based assessment if possible. The person she spoke to advised her to phone again and make a request for a paper-based assessment if a date was sent out for a F2F. Other than a text acknowledgment that my form has been received I have heard nothing more.

Is any assessment likely to be postponed until after 24th June? If so, will my payments still be in place until an assessment is done? I am also wondering what will be the situation with other things that depend on me being able to present evidence of a current PIP award. I have both a blue badge and a bus pass based on my PIP award (Scotland). I haven't used the bus pass at all this year as I have been too ill. However, as I have a fluctuating neurological condition it maybe the case that I become well enough to use the bus again. Thank you.

All face to face assessments were suspended for three months at the end of March, they may try and do a telephone assessment or Paper Based Review but it is also possible that your claim will be delayed, if this happens then your current award will be extended by at least six months.

I'm afraid we don't have any information on how the delay will affect passported benefits such as the Blue Badge and Bus pass you will need to contact your Local Authority for an update.

We don't know if and how the DWP may have changed their guidance for assessors in regard to Paper Based Reviews but they are certainly doing PBRs.
