Hi Pj
The forms are the same one is called ESA50, the other is UC50. If you are placed in the work group, it is called LCW (limited capability for work element) you get no extra premiums if placed in this group which were abolished from April 2017 unless you were protected.
If you are placed in the support group, it is called LCWRA (limited capability for work relatedactivity element) then you would get an extra £341.92 pcm.
Work activities would depend on your work coach and your claimant commitment, so I cannot give you an answer.

I phoned the dwp this morning and they said the early stages of capability of work , universal credit , are staying the same . I have been unfit for work for the last two years and due for reassessment in May.
I'm now totally confused by this six months extension. Will I get a re assessment or not?
Thank you

The extension to awards is not relevant to UC as there is no End Date or length of award, you will retain your LCW status until a new Decision is made.
The DWP may initiate a reassessment in May or they may delay it until things settle down a bit, I'm afraid you will have to wait to see what happens.

Hi
I am a little confused now as it stated on your website the following.
We are automatically extending all awards and reassessments for health and disability benefits to provide that reassurance to those in receipt of them. “
The announcement covers all benefits, including:
Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
Universal Credit (UC)
Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
Attendance Allowance (AA)
Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB).
I am in the LCWRA group .
I thought that would therefore be a disability payment .
Thanks for your help

ESA and UC awards do not have an End Date and are not awarded for a specific period, only a new Decision can change the current award so there is nothing to extend, however, the DWP can choose to defer a reassessment.
