PIP Help please was created by Jens
Hi everyone.
I recieve the lower level of PIP. I was sent a form to make a new claim within three months for PIP. I phoned PIP and they sent me a new form. It says my return date is this week, I'm really sturugerling to get the form filled out. If I dont get my PIP claim in this week, can I make another new claim before my original clain ends?
I've heared that ESA and PIP will be extended for three months because of COVID 19 but I'm not sure if I qualify for this now I have been sent a new claim form. PIP did not tell me on the phone if the PIP will be extended.
I'm very confused. Any advice would be very much appreicated.
Thank you.

Hi Jens
You need to ring and check with your particular case whether you have an extension or not. Under normal circumstances you would be given a two-week extension - some people have been given even longer so if you're able to phone now and find out.

Hi Thank you very much for your message. I did call them this morning and they said I do have three months to retun my form. But they did say just to send it back asap.
I did not ask how long it will take to asses the new form and telephone assesment.
Does anyone know if the new claims are on hold or are they still processing them? Thank you

Hi Jens
Glad you called them and you have the three months. Can't give you any timeframe on how quickly they are dealing with them or when you may be given a telephone assessment, but obviously it can't be until some time after your form is in and then they should give you seven days notice.
