When does PIP renewal form normally arrive? was created by Garland

Dear Forum Advsors,

I wonder if you could help me with this question. My 3 year PIP award is due to run out in October 2020. (I only received it after 18 months because of length of waiting time for appeals, etc).

Do they still normally send PIP renewal forms out 3 months before the current PIP award end date?

I am only asking because I get a bit anxious about how much time they will give me to fill in the form?

Is all the Coronavirus thing affecting these renewal timelines?

Hi Garland

Prior to covid-19, forum members were informing us that they were getting renewal forms 6 months before their current awards ended. I would contact DWP for peace of mind, also keep an eye on our Coronavirus updates.

Yes the Covid-19 is affecting renewal timelines, we try to keep the website up to date with the latest information and it is constantly changing, the back office members are working hard to keep all the member guides up to date, the PIP guide was update on the 27/04/2020.

My PIP expires in August and I received the review form mid February.I sent it back after a week but haven't heard anything since.I did ring the DWP at the start of April to check they had received it.They confirmed that they had but said it was still with them awaiting processing and to expect a delay because of the current crisis.

Thanks for confirming review form time, you need to check the Coronavirus update link on the left hand side, it has information on all the updates and delays.

From 24 March 2020 for 3 months, until 24 June 2020 no reviews will be carried out.

Hi garland,
I believe that you will get it about 12 weeks before as it was won at appeal. You will then have to re-apply and you will get a new "how does your disability affect you" form . That is what I have just done as I won at appeal. good luck
