Hello, Bit confused here as I'm quite poorly at the moment. I'm not sure if this should be in COVID section ? I've had a letter today from the local authority. My housing benefit has gone up from April & there's a back payment. Is this temporary as UC has gone up to do with COVID? Its £20 a week which will help alot as there was a shortfall but I'm so frightened they'll just take it away again later. I'm expecting more cuts to pay for COVID. I don't feel I can carry on much longer.
Housing benefit is not a subject we cover on this forum, I would contact your local authority and ask them. Certain benefits have gone up temporarily for one year by £1,000 which equates to about £20 a week, check out Coronavirus updates for details.
