esa income based was created by jacey
how much savings can I have when on esa ir?
Is it £16,000 but very £250 over £6,000 reduces my esa by £1 per week ie £4 for every £1,000 over £6,000.
Have also just applied for pip, how much could I hope to get from pip per week ?
Thanks for any answers

The following only applies to Income Related ESA.

You can have up to £6000 in savings and assets without it affecting your ESA, over £6000 then there is a £1 per week deduction for every £250 or part thereof, in excess of the £6000.

Savings and assets in excess of £16,000 will mean that you are no longer eligible for ESA(IR).

The current rates for PIP are;

Daily Living
Standard - £59.70
Enhanced - £89.15

Mobility
Standard - £23.60
Enhanced - £62.25
