PIP claim timescale was created by Leanne89
Hi guys,
I made my first claim for PIP on 6th February, does anyone know the average length of time it takes to process a claim? I know everything is up in the air at the minute, but any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

I'm sorry but we don't have a good view of timescales at the moment.

As your claim was started before March it is eligible for either a telephone assessment or a Paper Based Review but as it is a new claim it is also possible that a face to face assessment will be required and it could be some considerable time to arrange.

You can contact the Assessment Provider for your postcode to see if they are able to shed any light on what type of assessment is going to be required.

Once an assessment report is produced you are looking at a minimum of six weeks for a Decision but more likely 10-15 weeks.
