declaring inheritance in changes of circumstances

Hi I received an inheritance of a few thousand. I thought I didn't have to declare it as I'm in contributions-based ESA. Now I'm not sure, as DWP guidance doesn't seem to distinguish between income-related and contributions-based ESA when outlining 'changes of circumstances'. Months have elapsed. What should I do?

If you are only receiving ESA(CB) then your savings and assets will not affect your ESA.

I can't tell you that you do not need to contact the DWP but I really would not expect it to be an issue if you do not.
