I am finally almost read to post my daughter dla renewal. I think (not just my opinion) but from reading up on the specific criteria , that my daughter fits the for high rate mobility under the virtually unable to walk criteria.
I have put all my evidence together but please can you tell me whether it is advisable to state something along the lines of 'my daughter is virtually unable to walk and evidence confirms she fits the criteria for high rate mobility under this criteria'.
I want to make it clear to them that the evidence would support this award, or would it go against me? Of course l know such a statement has no effect unless l can back up what l am saying, which l feel l can?
I don't think there's a right or a wrong answer here. I think you just have to go with your gut instinct. The fact is they will decide whether your daughter qualifies on the evidence you provide and if they don't think she fulfills that criteria, they won't award it even if you include that comment. I'm sure many people put in what they think they or their loved ones should be awarded and not it doesn't count against you. Is there a chance that the assessor could be miffed? Yes - but that's all it will be. It's all about meeting the criteria.
