Text fm DWP, DLA to PIP New Claims Suspended!

Just had a text from DWP.
“Because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have suspended new claims to Personal Independence Payment (PIP) from claimants who are getting Disability Living Allowance (DLA). We will continue to pay your DLA as normal. You do not need to do anything or contact us about your PIP claim unless you need to tell us about any changes. We will send you a letter with more information shortly.”

I’d attach a screenshot of it, but don’t know how to here.

Has anyone else here received this?

So we’ve gone from one month to three, and now, thank God, there’s another small reprieve. I’m getting really bogged down by my PIP app, it’s drowning me, and my anxiety is through the roof. I can’t actually foresee ever finishing it.

Consequently, I’m grateful for this, though obviously I wish very much that it wasn’t because of Coronavirus, which has caused so much devastation.

When I was filling out my PIP form I found it easier to allow an hour a day to fill in what I could and if I felt I could then I added a bit more time...that way it didn't seem so overwhelming.
