Should I write letter was created by traceytracey
Hi all,
I am currently on CB ESA support group. I do permitted work for the NHS of 15 hours a week paid under the permitted work threshold. We have recently merged with another surgery and the new payroll office overpaid me the first month (april} but have rectified it and under paid me this month (May). Should I write and inform them enclosing all wage slips and a covering letter explaining what has happened just to be on safe side?

You say that you have been overpaid, does this mean that you exceeded either the hours worked (on paper) or the income limit for PW?
The legislation covering PW is black and white, if either of the limits are exceeded then your ESA(CB) is not payable for that period, the DWP can take an average where there is an established variation in work hours or pay but it will be at the discretion of a DM whether they apply this rule.
As to whether you should contact them, I can't tell you that you don't need to, these things can get flagged to the DWP by HMRC via your tax but if the amount is small and is a one-off then it might be ignored.

Yes it was more income, (they paid me the wrong rate ph). I have pay slips and a letter from my new manager explaining the mistake so I think I will wait to see if they write to me.
