DLA TO PIP was created by boxergirl@btinternet.com
My husband had to transfer from DLA to PIP. Completed form, sent evidence and form off. Asked to attend an assessment. Had assessment, received decision by letter. My husband received NO points for care or mobility, total shock. We submitted a request for a "Mandatory Reconsideration" Received DWP's decision, still NO points. We then submitted an appeal, enclosing new evidence. All this was done by reading and studying this sites guides, which we found easy to understand, and extremely helpful. Approx. 6 weeks after submitting the appeal, my husband received a phone call. The lady he spoke to said she had reviewed my case and looking at all the evidence, she had decided to award my husband "standard" rate for both care and mobility, it was great news, didn't even have to attend an appeal. Thank You, all for the help this site provides,It just goes to show, from 0 points to "standard" rates.
My message to everyone who gets turned down is "DON'T GIVE UP"
