I would appreciate any help you can offer. I had a pip medical in November, less than 6 weeks before that I also had an Esa medical. I was originally getting 11 points, but had additional needs as have bilateral hearing aids. After medical an occupational therapist took away 3 points for needing to use aids for eating and drinking, 2 points, and 1 point for needing aids to manage medication. This was because he said it was a low force activity, and my grip strength was good.
I have had carpal tunnel operations in both hands and this coupled with fibromyalgia has left me with a poor grip. What I wanted to know is can I use old pip medicals and the last esa medical as every one before has said my grip is poor. Also had a report from my doctor saying my grip is poor. I asked for a mandatory, but they have just given me what this last HCP recommended. The Esa report was very accurate, but the pip report was very poor, as there were alot of inaccuracies, and assumptions being made.
I lodged an appeal on 28th january, I have just received the bundle from dwp today 18 weeks after appeal lodged, so it looks like I will be going to tribunal. Also I lost mobility from change over from dla. All my Esa has been passed for my inability to walk anymore than 50 metres and yet I do not qualify for mobility with pip. Surely they should take notice of the ESA assesment?

Yes, you can use the previous PIP assessment report and the one from your ESA claim but you will need to explain the relevance to your current PIP claim, the walking distance would seem to be an obvious link as the ESA test is stricter than the PIP one, although ESA does not consider a distance that is less than 50m.
If you scored for the ESA Dexterity activity then this will also help with your PIP, there is a document in the PIP area that covers where we think the areas of overlap are.
All that said, don't lose track of the fact that you need to show that you meet the PIP criteria in order for an award to be made.
