Hi, do you have any information on the Scottish CDP? I am looking to apply for disability assistance for my son but as we live in Scotland, I am not sure if it is still under the DLA or if we now have to apply for the child disability payment through the Scottish security system. I have had a wee look on their website but there is no apply contact details, any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Layla :)

As far as I can see CDP is not live in Scotland yet, it was supposed to go live in the Spring but the latest documents are now suggesting the Summer, I seem to remember the Scots Government announcing that they were suspending any changes until the Coronavirus outbreak was under control but I can't find a link.

The following seem to have the latest info.

Hi Gordon, thanks so much for your reply, those links are helpful. I went ahead and filled out the awful DLA form for my son, it only took 3 days aahh lol. It would have been a lot less stressful waiting for the Scottish version to begin, but hey what the heck, we are stuck in the house anyway and at least you get that first application date so when they knock it back (& they will) we can do an MR. My daughter has ASD as well so went through all this with her DLA, she went through with MR, just think it will be the same for her wee brother.

Thanks again for your info & ill keep you updated, Layla :)
