Hi I posted my PIP Award Review form back on the 20th September 2019! And I hadn’t heard anything from them until today when I got a letter checking that I have filled in and sent the form to them. And that I might possibly receive a phone assessment, I have Multiple Sclerosis and have been receiving PIP for 3 years my condition is a life long and just gets progressively worse so why on earth do I have to go through an assessment. If things got worse and I thought I would be entitled to a new review of my circumstances then I would let them know. But the stress of waiting 10 months for them to check the details I sent them is overwhelming and the thought of having to justify things over a phone or face to face are making me feel so ill. What I would like to know is if anyone has been through the same LONG wait while suffering with MS. Thanks Duncan
Unfortunately many claimants have gone through what you are now going through. I spoke to a claimant this morning who received a letter from DWP stating they have put her benefits back in payment whilst they make a decision, they had only received her forms 2 days earlier, she had sent them in November, she did get a back date.
When I contacted DWP they informed me they had re-instated her claim and it would go to a decision maker for a decision to be made.
