Hi can you please advise how to challenge my award as my telephone assessment was so traumatic and painful.
In process assessor stopped to feed the cats then stopped to accept groceries deliveries and putting them away 3 n half hours if the traumatizing assessment and felt she was not listening despite I gave all the evidence from physctrist, my,gp,bone density results and report medication etc and am not able to much as my disability affects I have to have a carer daily and one every night due to my mental health .I feel the asseser was not concerned with the seriousness of my illnesses and my difficult abilities without a carer can you plz advise as am traumatised by the whole thing assessment took place on the phone eleven days ago and got the decision dated 11/6/20 so originally 15th December 2019 I had to do change of circumstances got my telephone assessment for 2/6/20 l feel I was made a mockery of my illness and my mental health please advise.i have requested assessors report wether they will send it or not.
Also the assessor refused to call my support as requested to have her on my telephone assessment I had to insist assessor was reluctant that's when I felt this was not right

Hi Nita63
I am sorry this happened to you. If I have read your post correctly the assessor stopped to feed their cats and accept deliveries - during your assessment? If this is the case I would put in a complaint. Perhaps your carer can help you because I think you could argue that you were not given a fair assessment. (It certainly was not a professional one from what you have said).
You have already requested a copy of the report. They have to send it to you.I would also put the request in writing.
Once you have the assessment report you will have a better understanding of how the DWP Decision Maker has come to their conclusions and will then be able to argue against them.
Your primary task is to show that you meet the criteria, there are many reasons you may have failed, you need to address each of these but don't get bogged down in criticising the assessment report unless you can clearly show that it is incorrect, it is a lot easier to argue the facts of the situation;
"the assessor recorded that I walked 50m, I did but they have failed to document that I had to stop every 10m for a rest due to breathlessness"
than their opinions
"based on my observations of the claimant walking I believe that they can reliably walk more than 200m.
When you have a better idea of the issues with your claim, come back to the forum and we will do our best to help.
