Hi Graham
I am not sure what advice or assistance you are asking for?
1) have you applied for the assessors report?
2) have you already applied for a MR?
If you are saying that you have applied for a MR but not heard anything, I’m afraid your options are limited as there is no required timescale for an MR to be completed within. You may want to get your MP involved.
The first stage to challenging a Decision is for you to request a Mandatory Reconsideration, this needs to be done in writing to the DWP, within one month of the Decision, you can apply for a late revision but you have to have good cause. You cannot get a late revision more than 13 months after the date of the decision was sent to you. D&A Regs, reg 4(3)(b); UCPIP(D&A) Regs, reg 6(3)(c)
Have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the PIP area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.

Yes, you can use the documents you used for ESA but if they were specific to the claim then you will need to explain their relevance to the PIP criteria, whilst there are areas of overlap between the two benefits they are limited and the criteria are different, there is a document in the ESA areas that explains where they are similar.

Hi Gary thanks for reply sorry for not explaining myself properly iv been getting my pip award but not heard anything about my review yet which should of been last December what I was trying to say was the mobility points and description of my mobility problems were compleatly different 4 months after the pip assessment of 4 points the support group description was more accurate I think I should have asked for a review then ? When my difficulty’s were more recognisable

Sorry I forgot to say I have seen both reports in January this year and they were both very far apart on my mobility problems the dwp one was very accurate compared to the pip one and I passed the support group examination mostly on distance I could walk

Graham
Before the lockdowns started, the DWP was reassessing claimants six months before the end of their award so I would not expect them to have contacted you much before now if the current problems had not occurred.
New assessments are currently suspended although this decision is due for review this week, awards should be automatically extended by six months.
However, If you feel that your Mobility has deteriorated since you were last assessed for PIP then you can report a Change to the DWP office dealing with your claim, notify them in writing as the date of your letter should be used to set the start date of any new award.
Reporting a Change will result in a new Decision that will supersede your existing award, so be sure that you want to start this process. That said, it is unlikely that it will be progressed much faster than your actual review
It will be a PIP2 instead of an AR1 Review form and you will need to provide evidence to support a higher award, your ESA report will be helpful but as it is over a year old you will need to think about how you explain your health now.
