When is my doctor asked for report on me?

When is my doctor asked for report on me? was created by Adwozere
This is my 1st time applying for Pip.
I started 6th Dec 2019
I sent back the Pip form in mid Jan
3 weeks ago I got a letter saying I had a telephone appointment booked
And 2 weeks ago I had the dreaded telephone assessment.
Was 80 mins long, the Lady rang on time and was very nice all the way through.
My question is do they contact my Doctor now or would they have done that by now?
Also what is roughly the time scale after the phone assessment to me hearing the result?

They usually contact the GP, if they do at all, before the assessment but it could be after.
I'm afraid Decisions are running at about 16 weeks at the moment.

Ok thank you Gordon, wow 16 weeks is still a long time to wait but then again done 6 months already.

They have moved a significant portion of the PIP staff across to UC to deal with all the new claims made in the last three months.
