Question about “change of doctor”

Hello all

I am asking for a family member, who’s on ESA, just want to clarify what exactly does the DWP mean about a change of doctor under the change of circumstances? The person in question has not changed doctor as such, the surgery was shut down not too long ago due to health and safety concerns from the CQC after that, a local surgery took it under its wing sort of speak and they merged. So technically there has been no change of dOctor for this person in question surely?

I am not sure what question you are asking but it could be that the DWP have been notified of the closure of the surgery.

Your family member may want to notify the DWP what has happened and that there has been no change of circs, do they still have the same doctor?

Hello Gary, I realised I wasn’t very clear, I was asking if it’s a change of circumstances that has to be reported, the person has the same doctor and the branch it self hasn’t shut, as in the physical building, it’s just merged with another local surgery as the CQC shut it down under its original management
