Could anyone tell me what are the likely consequences of taking on a part time course with OU when in receipt of PIP and ESA (Support) with severe disability allowance. Will this trigger an assessment? or put me on Universal Credit.
My circumstances haven't changed and the OU course is completely distance learning.
Providing your doing the course does not conflict with any of the reasons that you have been awarded ESA and PIP then there will be no issue, in fact there is no specific reason why you need to notify the DWP.
Even if they become aware I would not expect it to trigger an assessment unless they believe that it is the result of an improvement in your conditions. There is no reason why it would result in a transfer to UC.
