Backdating ESA support component was created by Elidor
My husband was awarded esa plus support component a few weeks ago without any assessment. Should the support component be backdated to the beginning of his claim? I assume it should be but this hasnt been done so just checking if it should be.

Many congratulations on the award,

There is a 13 week Assessment period so his award should be backdated to the beginning of week 14 of his claim.
