I received a brown letter today, I have been dreading it coming. I'm now 66 and I wondered about the 10 year soft touch rule and if I would qualify for it, to my relieve I did not have to have an assessment thank God, I was dreading it, the letter stated I don't need an assessment until 2026 which is great but if it's the 10 year rule it's going back to when I first claimed for PIP so it's not 10 years it's 6 but hey I'm so thankful I can breath for another 6 years if I'm still about.. :)

Hi redgt9

That really is terrific news, congratulations and well done. You must be relieved, as you say it's not 10 years but 6 years. Who knows what will happen in 6 years time, will Covid-19 still be around?
