Hi I have been receiving the daily living component from the age of 63. However, at the last review the daily living component was extended and I was awarded 10 points for mobility. But since I was now 66, I was advised that I wouldn't receive any payment as I was over the age of 65. Is this still the same or has it altered
The relevant age is now 65 or State Retirement Age, whichever is the higher.
Providing you have an award of PIP before you reach the relevant age then you can continue to receive PIP providing you continue to meet the criteria.
The only restriction is that you cannot be awarded the Mobility component if there no such award in place at the relevant age and if you then it cannot be increased if you only have a Standard award.
