PIP DECISION was created by JayDee
Good morning
I sent my PIP form off to be received July 2nd. On Monday (13th July) my social worker informed me that a PIP assessor contacted her. I then received a text message yesterday (16th July) from DWP informing me that they’ve received form from the assessor and a decision will now be made.
I called yesterday and requested for the report which the lady said I will receive in 7-10days
Does this mean I will not need to attend a face to face or phone assessment?
And there making a decision from my firm and medical notes?
I get low daily rate and no mobility but I informed pip that I’m much worst hence why I applied again.
Hoping I will get enhanced for both as I’m literally bed bounded and cannot move.
Do you think it’ll take long to receive the decision??

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi JayDee
Yes, it does sound as if they are just going to make a paper-based assessment.
You've already been told it will take 7 - 10 days. I can't tell you anything different.

Respectfully, receiving the claimant's requested copy of the assessor's report, and receiving the DWP's decision might not be simultaneous.
