Telephone assessment today - some info

Had my telephone call today. She was 20 minutes late calling - I had already phoned Capita to make sure my phone was ok ( called them on my hubbys phone!) they contacted the heath Assessor who was running late and very apologetic when she called. A very pleasant telephone manner, asked all the normal questions, did probe quite a lot re use of aids and supports but not in a negative way, almost like she was prompting me to remember! My disability is physical and I made sure I could give actual re distance I could walk and time taken. Made sure I told her about falls and tripping and used the words “safely” and “ reliably” a lot. Less intrusive than my last face to face assessment as I found the physical part very painful. ( which I told this Assessor about) Did seem to have read a bit of the paperwork but not all the evidence which I referred her to. So in summary, it’s the same questions but I found the experience in my own home much better and I thought the Assessor had a pleasant and professional manner. Let’s hope I don’t change my mind when I see her report/the decision!!

I had my assessment on Monday 27th July your assessor sounds just like mine was lets hope its positive. Did she keep saying duckie all the time !
