Won PIP Appeal - no time limit on award was created by CHUNKY
Hi
I suffer from mental health issues.
At the tribunal there was no end date put on my claim.
Does that mean the DWP can re-assess my case anytime they like?
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

No end date put on the award should mean that you have an On-Going award with no assessment for at least ten years and a Light Touch assessment when they do.

That's what I thought.
But someone from Welfare Rights said the light touch only applies to certain medical conditions eg heart conditions and not mental health, where they can look at it when they like.

Nobody has reached the ten years yet so all we can go by is the information in the public domain but there is nothing to suggest that what you have been told by his person is correct in regard to Light Touch reviews.
As to reviewing claimants at any time, the legislation allows this but we have not seen any evidence of claimants being reassessed earlier than expected.
