PIP Appeal submission was created by Francisca
When filling in the Tribunal appeal form, can I give one or two main reasons, then referring them to the two pages of reasons I submitted for the MR? I don't need to re-write it all, do I?
Had an unexpected bereavement so could do with not doing the unnecessary. Thanks.

Hi Toadlet
Have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the PIP area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.

Your primary task is to show that you meet the criteria, there are many reasons you may have failed, you need to address each of these but don't get bogged down in criticising the assessment report unless you can clearly show that it is incorrect, it is a lot easier to argue the facts of the situation. Make sure that you understand the criteria that you are being assessed against you can put the best case forward that is possible but you won't score points if you do not meet the PIP Descriptors.
Whenever I do an appeal I usually copy my MR that I have already put in, if I have any additional supporting evidence I add that to the appeal.
If you do not have much time then appeal on line, no need to get proof of posting or recorded delivery.

Just to be clear, The Tribunal Service will not have access to any of the documentation involved in the making of the Decision by the DWP until the DWP make their submission so you cannot refer to your MR unless you actually include the document with your request for appeal.
