I'm moving to new property in the same local council borough in a couple of weeks. I am currently receiving ESA + Housing Benefit and pay no Council Tax. I will be claiming Housing Benefit/Council Tax on the new property.
I have given 2 weeks notice to my current landlord and will be moving on 14 August. However, the Housing Association from which I will be renting the new property from has commenced my Tenancy Agreement from 4 August - they have given me 10 days Free Rent to decorate and move in my personal belongings.
I recently completed a Change of Circumstances Form for Housing Benefit and Council Tax. Because the date of my new Tenancy Agreement differs from the date that I move out of my current property - might this cause problems with my Housing Benefit/Council Tax?
