Hi Please inform me what eligibility you have to meet to get SDP. Back in 2018 DWP wrote asking if my savings were more than £16,000 at the time they were. Therefore, I didn't qualify for the backpay. I have never received this in my CB ESA.
I don't understand what I need to do. I'm in SG and get PIP.

I am assuming that you are receiving what is now called legacy ESA and not New Style ESA if the latter then the SD Premium is not payable under any circumstances.

First of all your savings will need to be less than £16,000 so that you are eligible for Income Related ESA to be added to your ESA(CB), this normally requires an ESA3 to be completed which captures details of your financial situation.

To be eligible for the SD Premium you will need;

- a PIP Daily Living award or DLA MRC of HRC (there are others)
- to live alone or to be considered as living alone
- no one must be claiming Carers Allowance against your PIP or DLA award.
