Telephone Assessment was created by Rocky1962
My husband was due to have his telephone assessment at 9.30. All prepared got him out of bed and ready he is in a right state doesnt want to talk to them. They called dead on 9.30 and rang off immediately! I have contacted help desk to see whats going on and they have sent over urgent message for call back. Nothing yet, my husband now in bed after collapsing he will not be speaking to them. Any help what I should do now?I am his appointee.

Hi Hetty
Sorry this has happened to your husband. If you have not heard from them, you should keep trying to find out what has gone on. Document what has happened. I would also contact the DWP to tell them. You don't want anyone trying to say you/your husband weren't there!

Poor you and Hubby Hetty! So unfair. Personally I would also let your doctor know that he collapsed after this stress and ask them to enter it in his notes. Then you can ask for a letter confirming this if you should need it from the doctor later on.
Good wishes, Denby

Thank you I immediately went back to the help desk and let them know. I had a call back from the nurse dead on the end time. She was extremely nice and helpful, just waiting to see what comes of it.

Hi Hetty
Thank you for letting us know, unfortunately you are not alone, I have seen a few posts on this forum similar to yours. When you report incidents such as yours and we see a trend we can report incidents higher up the chain, so never be afraid to report such incidents.
Hope everything goes well for you.
