ESA80 and applying for PIP was created by diane858
Hi,
I hope everyone is well x
Can i send a copy of my ESA80 i have just received from an ESA phone assessment Two weeks ago if i apply for PIP?
The doctor has done me a brilliant report and recommended the support group all based on my physical disabilities, he didn't even get round to my mental health problems as i had met the criteria.
I am now waiting for the DWP decision which hopefully they will agree.
At the moment i only get low rate mobility DLA awarded years ago but my health has worsened considerably over the years so i need to tell them and apply for PIP.
Would my ESA80 from my phone assesment help at all?
Thank You xx

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You can add the report but you will need to explain why it is relevant to the PIP criteria there are limited areas of overlap between the two benefits and even where there are, the criteria can still be quite different.
There is a document in the PIP area that explains where the criteria are similar.

Hi Gordon,
Thank You x
The doctor has agreed that i can walk less than 50 Meters and also i need help around my flat by my daughter with dressing, bathing etc
I don't get any care award at all but i feel i should be doing,
I also feel that my severe anxiety and GAD, agoraphobia and panic etc warrants more than low rate DLA mobility,
I am however concerned about loosing this as i would really struggle though being moved from the WRAG to the support group will help with this (once i hear from them) and have been waiting to be invited for PIP for the last couple of years now.
Must admit i am frightened of facing it all!!
Thank You xx
