I submitted a claim for PIP approx 7 weeks ago and have not even had an acknowledgment of my claim from dwp. I called and they said it’s been with the HA 5 weeks and to allow another ten weeks ! Is this normal?

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
The DWP only send an acknowledgement of a claim if a claimant includes a mobile number, but recently quite a few people have reported not receiving one - so it's a bit hit and miss.
The turnaround rates vary considerably so although some people have got a decision within eight weeks or less, lots of people are waiting very much longer.

Mine received on9 September
Got a txt 23 September thank for sending ur review form back
Phoned last week
On the system that’s all I was told
Had pip extended till July next year
Mind who helped me filling in the form
Hopefully hear before the end of the year
