Does Degenerative Disc Disease in someone over 66 qualify them for AA? I've seen a lot of information about arthritis of the spine but not DDD. Thanks Cath
I cannot answer that question as it depends on what effects Degenerative Disc Disease has on your care needs. Do you suffer from sciatic pain and reduced sensation in some areas, linked to the nerve problem that begins in your spine? If you do then the effects may have a knock on with other activities such as washing, going to the toilet, getting dressed, cooking etc, have a look at our guide: www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/dla/#AA.
Remember AA is all about care needs.
