PIP renewal form sent notification query was created by Helen
Hello I sent my renewal form for PIP off around ten days ago - will I get any notification they've received it or will I only hear once they've made a decision?
I can't use the phone due to a speech disability so I can't phone them to check.

Hi Helen
At one time the DWP used to send out texts to people who supplied their mobile number saying that a claimant's form had been received. Since the pandemic this has not been done regularly. A second text is usually sent when they consider they have enough information. The arrival of this letter depends on what type of assessment people have. I assume you will have a paper-based assessment. You may or may not get a text saying they have enough information.

Thank you. I'm just concerned as without them notifying me they've received it I don't want to lose anything because they said they haven't received it..

I understand your concern. You could send a letter, but you're unlikely to get a reply. Do you have anyone else who could phone for you?
