Enhanced rate mobility was created by suexx
Good Morning, I get pip, but only the mobility standard rate, although im explaining fully how I am unable to walk, and how this makes me feel due to widespread pain, fatigue, breathlessness etc, and Im unable to use aids because of weak grip. Ive read and applied all the notes from this site. Just wondering how can I explain it in more detail for the possible chance of enhanced rate?

Hi Sue
If you have followed the guide - which is very comprehensive there is probably little more you can do.
In your post, you say you are "unable to walk." Are you unable to walk at all, or can you walk a short distance as laid down in the PIP criteria?
Make sure you are consistent throughout your form. If you say you can't walk at all, assessors nearly always ask about how you can walk around your home - and what distance is the nearest bathroom from the bed! You don't have to put that on your form - just be aware it's a question that it nearly always comes up for people with "widespread' pain.
They will also want to know if you go shopping at all and will make assumptions about how far you can go - just be ready for that and they often try to catch you out on visiting the doctor or hospital appointments even though you might not go very often (especially at the moment).
If you live in a home that has stairs and you have told them you have grip problems - they will want to know whether you use stair rails. They will want to know whether you cook and carry pans or when you eat whether you use cutlery. If you have a car they will certainly question your grip. They are always looking for a reason to challenge what you say. You just need to be clear about how the poor grip affects you eg are there safety issues? Reliability issues? Do you drop things, are you too fatigued to even do something etc.?
They will also ask what medication you take for the pain. If it isn't giving you enough relief, then you should say so.
It helps if you have evidence of your poor motility from a medical professional, but if you don't include a letter from a relative or friend who has witnessed your difficulties.
Don't assume the person reading it will have knowledge of your condition or the effects of it, so don't make any assumptions. Put in every bit of detail that you believe is relevant against the specific criteria.

Hi Sue
This is the reason I am member here because always get wonderful advise, like Bis advise you, I had send my MR last year and have awarded enhanced rate both in PIP.
Sue I am sure if you just have few minutes, take a rest and write down what Bis has said I am sure you will get your higher rate. Good luck and don't forget we have very good and full of knowledge moderator here who guide us always in very simple way.

Hi Bis and Anees,
I wrote a reply to you yesterday, but mustn`t have clicked send or something. Thank you both for your advice. Yes I did follow all the guidelines, and explained fully all of the points in your message, but maybe it just wasnt enough. I was awarded enhanced daily living and standard mobility, so Im happy with that, and Im not going to ask for MR. I was just puzzled, as I never seem to get enhanced mobility, no matter what I write, or describe things. So i thought there may be a certain way of describing or explaining my problems, that Im missing.

Hi Sue
I'm glad you're satisfied with what you got. I don't know when your next review is - but you may want to keep a diary for some of the time, so you can show the severity of your pain and I would advise you to keep a record of your pain levels using a scale of 1 - 10 where 1 is no pain and 10 is extreme. It might help in showing just how bad it is.
