Follow up call from Capita after PIP assessment was created by Eggcustard
Hi,
I had my telephone assessment after winning at tribunal last time. I wasn't very with it that day (as well as my usual I had my covid vaccine two days before)
Looking back its obvious they will say I can do everything I need to because I can fasten a seat belt once a week and hold a mobile phone!
Anyway, a week after the assessment I had a call from capita asking how the assessment went. This has never happened before, has it happened to anyone else?
They asked if I had any help with the assessment (filling in the form or at the assessment itself), how I found a telephone assessment (it was only 45 mins half normal length so not in depth and I found it worse on the phone). I told him that although the lady was very polite Im expecting to lose my award because of the reasons above (seatbelt, mobile etc) and he sounded genuinely shocked! Said no thats wrong, that shouldnt happen so I said if he can get that to anyone that would listen to pass it on. Do people really not realise the type of organisation they are working for?
Anyone else had this please? I'm suspiscious after tribunal and making a complaint to capita last time and wondering if they were trying to see if I would do the same again.
Thanks

Hi Eggcustard
What was the purpose of the call? The person from Capita should have told you the reason. Was this part of a general audit, or was this specifically to do with your case? They should have explained the reason. It's not fair to make an impromptu call like that.
I've know a couple of people to be called after the interview, but it was always clear why the call had been made.
I hope the final outcome is not as bad as you fear.

Sorry for the delay in replying. They said it was to see how the telephone assessment went.
I have since had a copy of my report and it's actually very accurate, a perfect report as far as I can see, I'm very surprised but obviously relieved, maybe they are starting to understand that its pointless trying to lie when people will just go to tribunal and will get the award anyway. Hopefullt the DWP will agree and give the same points.
