Dear fellow forum members,

Does anyone know approximately, from the time you sent your mandatory reconsideration for PIP, how long till you get a reply ie stay the same or increased? 1 month maybe or more?

Thank you very much.

Kind wishes to all

Hi Olympia

Impossible to give you an accurate answer. Once member today has been told it will be ten weeks. Some MRs are decided within four weeks and occasionally it's longer than ten.

I was given a 2 week extension to submit my extra evidence for mandatory reconsideration. I just managed to meet the deadline. When I phoned to check they had my evidence on the deadline day I was told they were carrying out the mandatory reconsideration as we spoke. I received the decision notice the following week. Amazed it was so quick as the original claim took so long.
