Yes, you heard right! You currently have three months from the date at the top of your review letter.
There is just a slight caveat which we are pointing out to members; unless they have told you separately, the end date of your current award has not been extended by 3 months. So do take a look at that and make sure that you get your review form in at the least before that date to ensure that you don’t lose out on money. If you get it in close to the end date, it is possible that you might have a period when your old award has run out and the new one has not yet been assessed. If this happens, you will have a period without PIP payments, but your new award will be back dated to the end of the old one.
So generally, yes, it is good news!
