ESA, definition of ‘income’ was created by Gina1
Good afternoon!
I wonder if someone could help me please? We have a static caravan which we don’t use. It costs a fortune to run, with pitch fees etc. We are letting a few friends rent it this year, for payment. It is just that, friends, and not a business. My husband has a business, and has checked with his Accountant, who says as it’s just to cover pitch fees and not make a profit, I don’t need to declare it. It’s not a wage. Does anyone have experience of this, please? Thanks

Hi Gina

Your question is outside the remit of the forum, it is not an area that I have much knowledge in, you may want to contact Shelter's help line: england.shelter.org.uk/get_help/helpline

I believe the bible for all things related to Capital is assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/governm...e/932378/dmgch52.pdf

Not an easy read, but if you want to dive deeper into this that is where I would start.
