Thank you so much for the information.
I was surprised when they asked about timing as they have never asked that before, and this is now the one thing 'but he said he could walk for 2-3 minutes' that they keep throwing back at him. To be honest it was a guess, he told her it was a guess after she pressed and pressed to put a time on it, who times how long it takes them to walk to the loo?!
He keeps his driving licence in the hope that one day he will be well enough to be able to drive again as it was something he loved to do, I could not take that hope away from him by asking him to give it up. Of course they never asked why he keeps his licence at assessment it was only put in as a response at MR. Out of all their lies and underhandedness this comment is the one that has incensed me the most.

Hi Debbie.
This is happening to alot of us, losing points, not receiving awards. I received mobility plus living standard rate since 2013, now I only receive living, no explanation.
My MR was turned down also, cherry picking, I recorded my assessment, so I shall see what happens.
You are not alone.

Entertainingly, I got the "DVLA has not recalled your licence" thing years ago. I've never had a UK licence. Tribunal judge was particularly pissed off by that one.

Nice one Waylay! Just shows the depths they do not care about descending to.

I had a Blue Badge for 6 years before I got PIP and was asked how long it had taken me to walk from the car park to assessment building. I didn't know and am useless at guessing things like that so I replied that if I had known that they were going to ask that I would have timed it but couldn't because I don't wear a watch as my wrists swell up.
I feel that some of the questions are sneaky and underhand to throw you off balance and distract you. The answer you give preys on your mind as the assessment progresses. To my mind it is a very unprofessional thing to do.

Dixip, having sat through two with our daughter, you are sooo right about devious questioning techniques. My friend who supports people with claims measures out a stretch they can walk and times them using the stopwatch function on his mobile phone. That's what goes in the form.
