PIP TERMINOLOGY was created by Tyrone
I am confused by PIP terminology in relation to wording. Is there any difference between an ongoing and an indefinite award.

Hi Tyrone,
An indefinite award means one that has no fixed review date or end date. This is likely to be where someone has a lifelong condition, or one that won't improve. However, at some stage a review will occur.
An ongoing award is likely to be one with a 10 year term. Such awards are supposed to generate what is called ' a light touch review', some sort of quick review without all the need for assessments etc. However, PIP has only been in existence since 2013, so no one really knows what the light touch actually means and the Government haven't of course needed to do one or therefore produce any further guidance!
I hope this helps!

Seems to me as you've got an ongoing award for PIP, now they are reassessing you only 4 years in? Typical DWP lies again? I take it you've had an AR1 form.

I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.
