Is this a scam

I have just received the following text to my mobile and feel it might be a scam, though I don’t know how.

DfCPIP
We’ve received the written report of your PIP assessment. We will write to you once we’ve made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 8 weeks. You don’t need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank

A few things make me cautious about this text.
There was no salvation eg. Mr. X
I’m 70 plus so not on PIP
Finally the ending of the text it simply says.

No full stop. I’m by no means a grammar freak but that appears bad grammar.

On the other hand, however, a number of years back I helped a friend fill in a PIP form and she was successful (thanks for the advice then). At that time she was in a state of crisis and may have given my mobile number as a contact point. The only other thing I can think of my friend is hoping to change address and I rang looking general information as to how this might affect her PIP. I received an answer that it was just a change of address. No name no tel number passed hands.

I am aware that there are many scams out there and was wondering if this could be one.

Hello, I received this text after the assessor done her telephone interview with me. So this Is genuine if you have applied to Pip.

The sender was DWP in capital.
