Hello

I have just spent days filling out ESA50 form having put it off for ages to only now realise it says to fill it out in Capital Letters. I haven’t done this. Does anyone know if it matters or if they will reject it? I feel such a fool for not realising it

Thank you

Hi Karen,
Forms are a nightmare, and I often use the wrong place or capitals instead of script, before realising I have got it wrong. I don't think it matters, as long as it is legible. I can imagine handwriting script as opposed to capitals for people with poor writing skills will be very difficult to read. Keep a copy of the form and everything else you send in. You don't have to use recorded delivery, but you can do. I doubt the writing style will prove a problem, but if it is, by keeping a copy it shouldn't be too difficult to redo if necessary.
I think it will be ok, and DWP will accept the form.
Good luck with the claim.

Hi Karen

That won’t matter I didn’t write in capital letters when I filled mine.
Don’t forget if you get PIP some questions are the same for PIP points make sure you write what you wrote for your PIP form
Good luck
