Claiming PIP and being a Carer was created by Luckybegum
Hi
I am a Carer for my 7yr old who receives DLA high for care and also mobility. I am In the middle of applying PIP for myself and I'm worried DWP might say how do I care for my son if I'm having so much trouble myself. Is being a carer going to be a problem? What am I going to expect from them?
Thanks in advance
Lucky

Hi Lucky

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I know many carers who receive PIP themselves. To be eligible to claim for PIP you have to meet the criteria. We have a very comprehensive PIP guide. If you look through that, it will give you some idea of how you might answer questions.
