Why would UC ask re carer assistance 35 hours +?

Why would UC ask my disabled daughter who is on (newly naturally migrated to) UC this question ...
"Can you please confirm in your journal if you receive assistance from a carer for 35 hours or more per week?"

Will her response affect her UC in any way?

She has applied for transitional protection payment.

Am asking this, as her condition can fluctuate greatly, and change very quickly, so it's very hard to answer in those specific terms that seem to be required.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Tottins

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I cannot answer your question as I do not have all the facts such as, does your daughter claim PIP, was she in the support group. I would advise you to seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation as they can check what benefits your daughter was on before she migrated to UC. You can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk

For someone to claim carers allowance they need to be caring for someone 35 hours a week, so does someone claim CA for looking after your daughter?
