Sorry second question of the day is it possible to still get a copy of Tribunal statement of reasons 5 years after the Tribunal - would they still have it on file?
Hi Sarah, I think the answer is no! Assuming you want this to consider an appeal, you would need to request this normally within a month of the decision date. If you have a very good excuse you could extend this until a maximum 13 mths later. However, I also know that files are routinely destroyed along with the judge's notes. I'm sure after 5 years the files would be destroyed so no chance whatsoever on legal or practical grounds. I shoukd just add that written statement of reasons are only made if requested, they don't otherwise exist, so even if the file still existed there won't be a copy unless it was actually produced within normal time. I hope this helps. LL26
