I have to ask some advise have known a young lad for over 10yrs his father is scared of the new PIP system. His son has severe ADHD and Deafness has been told he can hear cetain pitches but will end up lip reading through his life. He will not follow his fathers instructions even using a simple timetable like schools do. As he is getting older his agression is coming out, and to the point when he is punished for gaming to much he rips his sheets, and now has starting slowly ripping wallpaper and denying it. Any advice how to put this down in words. His on medicine for at school but shatterer's him at home.
A lot of people are wary of the PIP system especially when they are having to change over from DLA. The important thing is for you (and the father) to go through our guides on how to fill out the form and make sure that he answers against the specific PIP criteria. Although there is an overlap between DLA and PIP it is not the same and we have some notes on that too. I understand clearly what you are saying - but the issue is how does he his ADHD and Deafness affect each of the fifteen questions on the form. We have comprehensive guidance on how each question should be answered and it's looking at that and fitting it to the son's experience.
