State Pensioner - Still Constant Hounding

I am a Pensioner and had been receiving PIP just prior to receiving my pension in 2021. The decision to withdraw the PIP was made just after I became a State Pensioner at 66 (a matter of days). Does the “light touch” review actually exist? I suffer from breathing problems, depression, severe bowel problems and arthritis. I feel that I am being hounded more and more by these people and am really at the end of my tether. I also noted that, due to my medication, I have transposed one of the answers on the main PIP form, which I had not noticed before, which obviously did not help in my original submission. I am currently waiting for an MR, which will obviously be a refusal going on the DWP past treatment of my case. If anyone can offer advice about any action to take, I would be grateful although unfortunately, I haven’t found this forum very responsive before.

Hi Mykonos, did the date you turned 66 coincide with when you were to be reassessed?

Sorry to hear you are feeling this way.

What would help is focusing on how you fulfil the descriptors, eg, if you need assistance bathing, eating, or dressing and if you can do these things reliably, regularly and safely or not and how.

Having or using an aid does help like if you need a multi chopper in cooking, or a lever tap in the house, or a bath seat when bathing, they are worth 2 points up to a maximum of 8.

If you can have somebody to look at your renewal again this would help, a body like citizens advice or your local council, at least if the MR fails for the tribunal.

Good luck!
