EESA telephone assessment was created by zaffie
Hi
Can any one give advice. Husband had his telephone assessment today. After 20 minutes assessor said needed to consult with clinical lead. Came back after 10 minutes and said were done.
Any one had this happen? seemed very odd
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi zaffie
We hear all sorts of stories here on the forum, but I have not heard that one before. There maybe forum members who have come across a similar situation.
Lets hope you have a successful outcome, when you do receive a decision letter, contact DWP and ask for a copy of the assessors report, even if you are successful.

Sounds iffy tbh. Iv got a letter in for telephone interview and it states the call will take 30 minutes, Sounds like the assessor taking the mick, as we cant see them, so 10min of nothing is more than likely to just make it to the 30min max.

When an ESA assessor believes that the claimant clearly meets the criteria for the Support Group during an assessment then they are required to confirm this with a senior, if agreed then they will terminate the assessment and make a recommendation to the DWP for an SG award,
